Ron has many years of selling and management experience in the real estate market. Having lived on the Monterey Peninsula for 30+ years, he is well acquainted with the area and its surroundings. Ron has also had the experience of buying and remodeling several homes on the Peninsula.

Becoming a broker in Carmel with Fouratt Real Estate in the 1980s, Ron specialized in properties in the Carmel and surrounding areas and was on the Board of Directors for the Carmel Board of Realtors. In conjunction with the opening of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Ron opened Bay Bikes, a bicycle rental and touring business, with locations in Carmel, Carmel Valley and Cannery Row, which he operated for over 18 years before returning to real estate. He served on the board of directors of the Cannery Row Association for 17 years.

Ron received a BA in Business and Marketing from Cal State University, San Francisco, and was the owner/operator of a retail contemporary design and antique store in Hawaii before moving to Carmel.

He and his wife, Dorothy, have joined Sotheby's International Realty as The Allen Team, and continually look forward to providing service to their clients with their experience, integrity and hard work.

Ron's children were raised in Carmel and graduated from local schools before going away to college. His son lives and works in England, and his daughter is the catering manager of the new Intercontinental Hotel, The Clement, in Cannery Row. Ron's activities include tennis, golf, hiking, skiing, swimming and reading. Ron and Dorothy are active members in the Carmel Chamber of Commerce and the Carmel Valley Athletic Club.
