Arleen Hardenstein

Arleen Hardenstein manages transactions, offers advice and provides a quality of service recognized by her clients and peers. Prior to joining Bratty and Bluhm, she worked for more than two decades in grocery stores serving Pacific Grove, California, and the surrounding communities, beginning at Alpha-Beta (now Alberstons) in Pacific Grove and finishing at Whole Foods Market in Monterey. During her early years behind the counter, she met new and interesting people day in and day out. She subsequently worked in management, bookkeeping and training, all of which enhanced her customer focus. As the years passed and corporate needs changed, Arleen moved to bigger stores, ultimately living in 10 different parts of Monterey County, from the Carmel Valley and Big Sur to Marina and Prunedale. Each move involved real estate transactions in which she was a tenant, buyer or seller. As an outsider to the real estate business, she experienced, first-hand, the emotion of the transaction, the intimidating paperwork, the stress of selling and the excitement associated with buying. But, most importantly, she gained insights into the value of working with a qualified, professional Realtor®. When the opportunity arose to become property manager at Bratty and Bluhm – a fixture in Pacific Grove real estate for more than 50 years – she jumped at the chance. She honed her customer service skills, broadened her real estate knowledge and now is a licensed real estate agent and Realtor®. While her job titles have changed, her principles remain the same. She uses her experience – not only as a professional, but as a wife, mother, buyer, seller, tenant and friend – to provide quality, professional real estate services with a personal dedication to her clients. Arleen is 2013 President of the Monterey County Association of Realtors®, an organization that promotes professionalism, property rights and home ownership.
