The Beverly Center/Miracle Mile area of Los Angeles, known for its original Spanish two-story homes, original duplexes and single-family homes, borders the Mid Los Angeles and Fairfax Districts as well as Hancock Park. Beverly Center/Miracle Mile was originally established in the 1920s by developer A.W. Ross, who sought to create a commercial district that could rival those that were already developed, like Downtown Los Angeles. The many original Spanish two-story homes, duplexes and single-family homes enjoy access to one of the city’s most densely populated sections. Beverly Center/Miracle Mile is home to the world-famous Los Angeles County Museum of Modern Art (LACMA), the La Brea Tar Pits and the Petersen Automotive Museum, which all make up Museum Row.
