A Buffalo, NY native, Rachel LeGault first moved to Los Angeles eight years ago with no knowledge of the area and no contacts other than the talent agents she’d charmed into hiring her right out of college. After a few notable misadventures in renting, Rachel began to study the rental market so she could pick a place to live for longer than a few months. Even after she found a place to live, Rachel continued to work on spreadsheets that outlined rent projections in several areas she felt were “up-and-coming”. A necessity quite simply turned into a hobby.
That hobby turned into a career when Rachel became the apartment manager of a 16-unit apartment building in Mar Vista. Rachel immediately fell in love with helping people find a place to call home, and within a few years, was managing upwards of 80 units spanning from West Hollywood, Miracle Mile, and Rampart Village. Becoming a realtor was a natural transition, and one that Rachel has been excited to tackle since joining the Sotheby’s International Realty team.
Her warm disposition and expansive knowledge of Los Angeles neighborhoods has allowed Rachel to help a span of clients looking to find a place to call home. She is able to talk realistic rent projections with investors, help a transplant navigate the intimidating LA-sprawl, and discuss school ratings and the importance of “a good Trick-or-Treat route” with a new family looking to settle in the perfect neighborhood. Rachel’s innate ability to find common ground with all types of clients is what made her a successful property manager, and in turn, a dedicated real estate agent.
Rachel has been co-running the Hollywood School House after-school dance program for the last three years and has assisted The Loose Morals Craft Club in philanthropic events benefiting Planned Parenthood, Children of the Night, and The Downtown Women’s Shelter. She loves staying active in her community, connecting with neighbors and petting their dogs.
