“You only have one chance to make a first impression” is a mantra Adam Cohen lives by. A Los Angeles native, raised by New Yorkers who relocated to Los Angeles shortly after they married, exemplified the adage, “You can take a person out of New York, but you can’t take New York out of the person.” The tenacity, street smarts and entrepreneurial nature of his parents coupled with Adam’s integrity, great sense of humor, sensitivity and concern for others worked symbiotically to provide Adam with his high value system and knowledge of what is important in life. Even as a child, Adam exhibited a natural negotiating ability by learning how to use his charm and skills to achieve success. With years of practice, he now has this natural gift in his arsenal of tools.
Adam graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in communications and a minor in business. Using his entrepreneurial focus, he launched an application in the technology industry and succeeded in attracting investors as well as developing sales. As an account executive, he was able to utilize his negotiating techniques while working in the fashion industry.
Having been introduced to the philanthropic world by his parents at an early age, with exposure to the Jewish Home for the Aging and City of Hope, Adam knows how important it is to give back to the community. It is this history he brings with him to Sotheby’s International Realty and the real estate market, where he strives to build his future by being dedicated and working continuously to provide the highest level of personal service in helping his clients realize their dreams of owning a home or income property.
