Sylvia's residence in west side areas such as Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica and Malibu (Sunset Mesa) have also allowed her to gain a local's insight into neighborhoods, services, schools and other community information.

Giving back is an important part of Sylvia's philosophy. Through her partnership with Conservation International, she protects three acres of rainforest in the name of her clients. She also donates 10% of her commissions to a variety of local charitable organizations, volunteers for Meals on Wheels West and is active in Soroptimist International LA West/Santa Monica.

Sylvia is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), California Association of Realtors (CAR), Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors (BHGLAAR), National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) and National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB).
