Julie Solnit was born to sell. For over 10 years she was a successful and respected sales manager in the world of publishing. Several years in a row she was named Salesperson of the Year by McGraw-Hill Publishers and was rewarded substantially for her efforts in the field. Whether it's a magazine, book, home or estate, Julie can help sell it.

Almost a native to Los Angeles, Julie has lived here since 1976. She went to University High School in West Los Angeles and then attended UC Santa Barbara, graduating with a BA in History and Political Science. Her career path and law school plans detoured when she was offered a job, out of college, to work for an advertising agency. The agency was impressed with Julie's persuasive writing style. She stayed with the agency for four years before she realized that copywriting and public relations were things she could do on her own. Thus, she began her own public relations and marketing firm. Her clients included Toshiba, Teradyne, Novell and Apple. In fact, Julie was part of Apple Computer's initial product launch publicity team. Because of her compelling and powerful campaigns, many publishers approached Julie. The lure of sales and the benefit of financial liberty attracted Julie to work for McGraw-Hill. She stayed there and led their Southern California sales team and helped pioneer new accounts.

Familiar with the Southern California landscape, Julie is very knowledgeable about the diverse and unique qualities of most neighborhoods in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. She has experienced the intricacies of the housing market from the 1980s highs to the 1990 lows to the housing boom in 2000. As a real estate agent and seasoned sales professional, she is resourceful, thorough and willing to do what it takes to get the house sold.

Julie is currently a member of the Beverly Hills Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors (BHGLAAR) and the Multiple Listing Service/Combined Los Angeles Westside (MLS/CLAW). Through these associations, Julie has greater access to the available properties on the market. Because of her involvement, Julie can ensure that a property secures the highest visibility and broadest distribution. As a member, she has exclusive access and technology to tap into today's real estate market.

Julie is married to a leading and respected leader in dentistry and has two sons. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, riding centuries (100-mile endurance bike races), cooking, organic gardening and tending to her grape vines.
