Born and raised in New Orleans, Barry attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville where he studied International Relations and Art History. Through his academic studies and the influence of his father, an architect, Barry has a deep understanding and appreciation of architecture, design, and historic preservation.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Barry moved to New York City where he worked at Sotheby’s auction house. There he continued to develop his knowledge of art and came to understand both the importance of attending to his clients' needs and striving to exceed their expectations.
Following Sotheby’s art auction, Barry worked for many years as a television producer/executive at MTV Networks in New York. There, working primarily within the Department of News and Specials, he produced programs on issues ranging from politics to fashion. At the time of his employment he was the youngest Director at the network. He carries forward many of his producing skills to all of his real estate transactions, including negotiation, marketing, logistics, market intelligence, risk management, and diplomacy.
Barry recently joined Sotheby's International Realty. Ranking in the top ten percent of agents within his office, Barry is a top producer in the Sunset Strip brokerage. With Barry's professionalism and experience, he has an innate ability to successfully match his clients' aesthetic and financial priorities to the perfect property.
