Barry Fields was born and raised in Los Angeles and currently resides in West Hollywood. His prior business experience as a sales manager for a clothing company and an owner of two retail stores has given him the edge of learning how to listen to his clients and turn their needs into reality. He has been an agent for over 10 years and is also an assistant manager at the Sunset Strip office.

Barry works extensively by referral and goes where his clients need to be. He represents both buyers and sellers, and has sold everything from a one-bedroom condominium to a gated estate. His major areas of concentration are the Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Hancock Park and the Miracle Mile area. He has recently completed several transactions in Studio City and Sherman Oaks. Barry encourages consideration of these areas because of their proximity to the Westside and the Valley and their good supply of more affordable housing.

In contrast to the team-of-assistants approach, Barry works directly with clients at all times. He believes that this is first and foremost a service business. By limiting the amount of buyers and sellers he works with at any given time he is able to provide first-rate service and results. When working primarily by referral there really is no other way.

With the fluctuations currently happening in the real estate market, Barry believes now more then ever that sellers must correctly price their property, prepare their home for sale and market it to the widest possible audience. Buyers should pre-qualify themselves for a loan to get a handle on what they can afford, study and visit houses in the areas where they are considering living, and write aggressive offers based on current market comps.
