Born and raised on Manhattan's Upper East Side, Alexandra "Alix" Olavarria relocated to Los Angeles in 1993. Her extensive knowledge of Los Angeles's Westside neighborhoods and lifestyles gives her a keen understanding of today's market and her clients' needs. Additionally, Alix's varied background brings many valuable skills to her real estate profession. Alix is known for her warm, approachable and professional demeanor and is dedicated to providing personalized attention to her clients.

Prior to joining Sotheby's International Realty, Alix owned and operated an internet boutique selling high-end gifts and home accessories. She has also worked for many years in the entertainment industry.

Alix lives in Westwood with her husband and two children. She is a very active parent volunteer at St. Paul the Apostle School and is a member of the Angelic Auxiliary of The Children's Bureau, which raises money to help low income families and prevent child abuse in the Los Angeles area.

Alix is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she majored in English Literature and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She also attended Andover (Phillips Academy) and The Chapin School in New York City.

Alix grew up summering in Southampton and has lived in France and Italy. These experiences have given her an appreciation for the European lifestyle of comfortable luxury. Alix speaks French, Italian and Spanish. She plays tennis in the Westside and USTA Leagues, and also enjoys golf, skiing and hiking.
